Sing my darling - CD~A LIGHT SHINES OUT TO SEA - CD~Bray Vista have "a spirit and soul that would melt the hardest of hearts." Jim Carroll, The Irish Times

It's been a long time coming, but Bray Vista are delighted to announce that their new album Sing My Darling is now ready for release. Over the last few months Bray Vista have been adding the finishing touches to the album and have again worked with the incredibly talented - and patient - producer Karl Odlum, who recorded, produced and mixed this album in a variety of places from Dublin down to Kerry. His voice can be heard on some tracks along with other special guests Roesy whose distinctive vocals grace the opening track, and Daire Bracken fiddle-player extraordinaire who drops in on a few numbers.
Graphic designer Steve Averill - U2, Depeche Mode, Hothouse Flowers etc. has both designed the album artwork and created a new logo for the band. To finish off the album with an authentic country feel "Sing My Darling" was sent it Nashville, Tennessee to be mastered.
2003 saw Bray Vista burst straight outta Wicklow and re-ignite the muted embers of Irish country, hijacking the stereotype of line dancing and fringed denims, turning the medium on its head and attacking it with youthful ebullience. Their unique country sensibility melds heart-felt tales of lost love with stomping southern grooves.Their low key 2003 debut EP This Time Around was greeted with enthusiasm by radio and print media alike, with Radio One's John Kelly describing it as one of the essential releases of 2003. The When I Get There EP, produced by Karl Odlum (David Kitt, Mic Christopher), came out in the summer of 2004 to whet the appetites of the faithful, while they awaited the release of the debut album. During the rest of 2004, their live shows continued to gather a cult following, the particular highlight for the band being the opportunity to tip their stetsons to the great man in black himself, when they were invited to be the house band at the Johnny Cash tribute concert in Vicar St. Other ventures outside the garden county included the raucous Rhythm 'n' Roots Festival in Kilkenny, a nationwide tour with the weird and wonderful alt-country Handsome Family, and the after show party for Bob Dylan's Galway show. The latter part of the year saw Bray Vista reunited with Karl Odlum to record their first full-length album, working over a couple of months in both the Westland studio and a remote West of Ireland hideaway.
