Product Description

‘TRADITIONAL TALES OF WONDER’ is a double CD of Irish folk tales originally broadcast as a series of five  programmes on RTÉ Radio 1 in the summer of 2005.  The stories were recorded in the Donegal gaeltacht from Míci Sheáin Néill of Rinn na Feirste and have been translated from the Irish by producer Cathal Póirtéir. In this double CD the stories are dramatically re-told for younger audiences but will appeal to everyone interested in Irish folklore. Twelve stories are included in this CD set, including Cú Chulainn, Fionn in the House of Death, The Chestnut Mare and The Four Skilful Brothers. The CD set also offers a short essay on the Irish story telling tradition by Cathal Póirtéir.
