Following the resounding success of his duets album, ‘The Two of Us’, the second posthumous album release from the late singer/songwriter Christie Hennessy, entitled ‘A FRIEND OF MINE’ is due out on 30^th October.

Carefully constructed from old tapes and DATS, and combined with new material that Christie had been recording before he passed away, the album was a labour of love for Christie’s family, who wanted to finish what he had started. It was produced by Christie’s son Tim Ross, who pays tribute to his father’s style and musical treatment, ensuring that each song carries the true essence of Christie’s creativity. 

Both Hennessy fans and newcomers alike will be enthralled by the famous Kerryman’s distinctive soft voice and haunting lyrics, many of which were written in his final months. In true Christie style, he wrote of love, life and heartache, cementing in stone the legacy that he had begun creating many years ago.

After being immortalized for many years through his work, he is now going to be immortalized in bronze, with a statue of him being unveiled on October 31^st in his home town of Tralee, Co. Kerry.
